Setting Up Housekeeping Types
The Housekeeping Types Setup option allows users to create records of different types of housekeeping services and their default rates in the property. The records created in this screen are displayed as options in the Housekeeping Types drop-down list of the Housekeeping Fee Setup screen.
Perform the following steps to create a record for the housekeeping type:
Navigate to Settings à Housekeeping Setup à Housekeeping Types Setup.
Click Create Housekeeping Type. The Create Housekeeping Type screen appears.

Housekeeping Code |
A unique code to identify the type of housekeeping task. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters are supported. |

Housekeeping Name |
The name of the housekeeping type. Up to 50 alphanumeric characters are supported. |

List Order |
The position in which the housekeeping service must appear in the grid. The system automatically generates a value based on the value of the previously created list item. Up to 999 records are supported. |

Default Rate |
The default rate to be set for the housekeeping service. When the user selects a service from the Housekeeping Type drop-down list, the rate set for that service will be displayed in the Hourly Rate ($) field of the Housekeeping Fee Setup screen. Up to 4 digits are supported. |

Post Type |
The post type to be used to post charges (to any preferred folio) for this housekeeping service. |
Click Save. The housekeeping type is created and displayed in the grid.
